Service Description

You will be hooked! (Sorry, I couldn't resist 😂) PLEASE NOTE: The morning session is for students, regardless of age, with very little or no prior experience.* Crochet is a process of creating textiles by using a hook to interlock loops of yarn. The name is derived from the French term croc, which means 'hook'. It is a beautiful and somewhat forgotten art whose origins started in Europe during the 19th century. Beginning students learn the basics: slip, chain, single, and if time allows, double crochet to start making a scarf or their own small tote bag for their new materials! Students will... Enhance hand-eye coordination Learn a timeless craft Use basic math and geometry Learn to work with fiber Find a lifelong hobby Important! Workshop results could vary dependent on each students ability. Crochet requires a LOT of patience so in order to succeed you will need to practice at home after each lesson. Recommended for 9+ year olds. No guarantees for students under 8. __________________________________________________________________ * Already know how to slip, chain, single, and possibly half-double or double crochet? Register for the Intermediate Crochet Workshop held in the afternoons where you'll learn to read a pattern, work in the round and learn other unusual stitches! https://www.heyartmama.com/service-page/intermediate-crochet-all-ages?category=11c32751-d201-426e-b53f-d5e9d5c95147&referral=service_list_widget Note: images shown do not reflect actual projects
